Mission Lions PeeWee Bottle Drive Bottle and Can Drive on Saturday Sept. 4th. Our team is collecting beverage bottles and cans as part of a fundraising event to help the team with "out of town games". If you would like to donate any bottles, please bring bottles down to Kirschner Bottle Depot from 12:30 - 4:30pm or email us to pick up: abknoll@shaw.ca or Keelan@telus.net 2010 Gridiron Classic Congratulations to the Kelowna JB Lions, stunning the returning champion Abbotsford Falcons in a hard fought game. In the Peewee division, the Kelowna Dragons finished 2nd, while a favored Lions team wound up 4th. In exhibition matches, the two Kelowna Atom teams put up strong defensive games, with the Dragons edging the Lions 1-0 on Sunday. Both Atom teams looked to be in great shape, and look forward to strong regular season results. Thanks to all the volunteers and visting teams that helped make this weekend a success. -edit Oh yes we forgot to mention, ♥Abbotsford♥ won the PeeWee division. Older registration forms are being sent to the old (wrong) address. If you have already sent in a registration form, it is not necessary to send it again. New Football BC Concussion Policy and Resources Effective June 1, 2010, all Football BC member associations, clubs and schools will have to abide by the guidelines set out by Football BC's new policy regarding concussion education and treatment. Football BC has put together the following resources that each association and/or club will be required to disseminate to their members and, in certain cases, will need to have signed and returned to Football BC before the start of each team's and/or league's respective season.
